Readers’ Theatre to examine language hierarchies.
The Readers’ Theatre activity aimed to explore the experiences of immigrant professionals within an adult education employment programme. The workshop was structured as a performance where audience volunteers acted out the characters in the theatre piece. The objective was to humanise and detail the phenomena of deskilling, migration and the social construction of skill.
