In collaboration with Dr. Hamish Foster of the University of Glasgow’s School of Health and Wellbeing, we created a poster to visually represent an aspect of his PhD research on the complex relationship between human connections and health.
The poster, completed in May 2024, was designed to communicate key findings in an engaging format, highlighting the link between how different types of social connection combine to affect the risk of health. This visual helped present the research to both academic and public audiences, and has been used in publications and seminars to promote the important findings of this study.
‘The process of creating an illustration with Nic at Visual Inquiry was extremely easy, fun, and helpful for my project! Nic was fantastic to work with as she was so enthusiastic and keen to get the illustration just how I wanted it. Her creativity brought numerous solutions and ideas for transforming the numbers into appealing pictures that instantly told the story of the research findings. And all for a very reasonable fee. The illustration (and separate components) has enhanced the impact of my research through presentations and academic posters which has made the research much easier to grasp for a wider audience. I can’t recommend Nic and her team highly enough.’
